It's a WHAT???!!!!!!

Well, last night was the BIG night!

Yesterday morning, Danny and I went to the doctor to have our 18th week ultrasound. BUT, before I go there, I will say....Danny's tire went flat just as we were headed out of Ninety Six on the way to the doctor's. THEN, I got behind a COP the whole way there so I couldn't speed!
I felt like something was telling us not to go! Ahh!!
But, we did get there and it was so much fun! We loved seeing the baby move (it's) little hands and arms. Baby G was really squirmy and a bit stubborn! I believe that came from BOTH sides of the family! Joan, the ultrasound tech, gave us a DVD of the baby moving, so that's neat.
Here's one of my favorite pictures from that morning....
The picture on here doesn't show it as well, but in person is much better. She knew that we didn't want to know the gender until that night, so we had to close our eyes each time she looked down near the legs. What a CUTE profile!!!!!!!!!

We left the doctor's office so anxious to know if it was a girl or a boy! But Danny went and ran some errands and I went to my parents to help set up and get ready for the party to try and keep our minds off of it. The evening finally came and we were so excited to find out! I know you're anxious to see pictures, so here are a few of the details from the Gender Reveal Party...

When guests came in the door, they had to put a tally mark on the side they thought it was.

Guests were encouraged to use the clues on the board to guess what our girl and boy name was.

"Boy or Girl?"

Team Pink & Team Blue's signs.

Pink Lemonade and Blue Punch for your choice.

Aren't these AMAZING!! My mother-in-law made these and
I just can't get over them! She had girl and boy cake pops!

This one she said is how he or she will look like when it come out!!

This was a table of my cravings......basically one word will do......salt:)

Everyone was asked to fill out the sheet for "Wishes for Baby G."
Baby G's big brother, Wells, had the BEST one!
He is just one sweet, kind-hearted child.

So this is how we did the BIG reveal.......!
We brought in one pink and one blue balloon into the ultrasound. Joan (ultrasound tech) poked a few needle size holes into the balloon that the baby was NOT. At the party, we chose the grandfathers to blow up each balloon at the same time. One balloon would blow up, the other would deflate, since it had holes in it. The one balloon that stayed blown up was the GENDER! Confused?? Here's pictures...

 omg, it's a girl.
 OMG IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!
Wow........a GIRL!!!! NEVER would have though that!!!!!!!

A GIRL! I'm sorry, but I am still in shock. I was 110% sure it was going to be a boy!
I have had 4 dreams that it was a boy, every myth said it was a boy, and my gut feeling was a boy.
BOY was I WRONG!
We are so very excited, shocked and EXCITED!!

Her name?
Emerson Adele Gunter.
It is finally real now. I said her name today and it seemed very real.

Now, if anyone hears of any job openings, I'll take FOUR MORE jobs please so I can afford Emerson, because I am a SUCKER for a cute little girl outfit!

A Long Weekend...full of Domination!

Well it's Monday, I'm so tired I can barely hold my eyes open. I got NO sleep last night. Danny's sick- I think he has what I had a couple of weeks ago. Round about this time of year, I wish I was still in college so I can have a good month or so off! Not gonna happen ever again though. Ugh.

This past weekend was pretty busy. We packed a lot in, in just 4 days!

Thursday-Thanksgiving.
We went to two dinners, got stuffed, then went to Walmart, like IDIOTS, just in time for the crazies. We had one thing in our buggy worth $6.00, so we left the buggy in the clothes area and went home, was in bed by 11pm!

Friday-Black Friday.
I hate this day. But Holly and I headed to Greenville to go shopping anyway. We decided not to leave at 2am, and instead left about 8am. We were STILL exhausted by 3pm! I went home, took a nap and headed to J. W. Babb Stadium to watch the Eagles play their last home game! And boy was it an intense game! Final was 36-21 against Ashley Ridge (from Summerville). So you know what that means?! WE'RE GOING TO THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yayyy!!! We'll take on Goosecreek this coming Saturday at Clemson at noon!

Saturday-Clemson CAROLINA Palmetto Bowl.
Okay I literally haven't watched 2 minutes of a game this year! I have been swamped every Saturday with work, baseball, or something! So even though I'm a Gamecock fan, I wasn't really into it Saturday night. We went to a friend's house, cooked a pig, and watched the big game. I went into it thinking the Tigers were going to win. Cause no one can forget "SHOCK THE WORLD TOUR!!!!!!!" Shut up already. The entire game, the week before, and so on, all you hear out of Clemson fans, "Well who will y'all be watching next Saturday, huh?" Really? Play in the SEC for once, you won't see a championship game. Anyway, we win. Moving on......

Sunday-Church, leftovers, Christmas decorating.
Well, we missed church like a bunch of heathens. Plans were screwed up so only I hate leftovers at Mominy's (they sure were good, again). But I DID manage to decorate the house for Christmas. Not the tree, just the rest of the house. It's so homey:) Then Danny got sick. Poor thing. It hit him all of a sudden too. So he's laid up in the bed for the night and all day Monday.

And now it's Monday morning. Ugh. It had to come sooner or later.

I AM looking forward to tomorrow though. We FINALLY go for our ultrasound! I feel like it's been forever since the last one. She'll hide the results and we'll know BOY or GIRL tomorrow night!

Saturday, I hit 18 weeks, so Baby G is about the size of...
...a sweet potato.
And I forgot to post 17 weeks, so here's Baby G's size last week...
...an onion.
Here's some highlights from Friday's game!

STATE Bound! GO EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!

Giving Thanks, Angels and Babies

7 days, 4 hours, and 0 minutes until we see PINK or BLUE!
Oh man, we are pumped!
Last blog post, I saw Danny reading it on the couch.....and I knew it was coming....
You see, I haven't exactly told him the details of how he and I were going to find out the gender!
I figured he wouldn't want to wait another minute, much less til the end of the day! So I simply left that tiny part out. So when he was reading last blog, I knew I was in trouble! lol

But this is important to me, so maybe he will agree:) (Danny, are you reading this??)
Oh, and if you are reading this....remember, tomorrow is the last day to order this necklace for it to come in for Christmas! Go to Blossom for it! Love ya!

This week is a big, busy and fun week! Thursday is Thanksgiving.
(we'll be celebrating 3X that day!)

This one is going to be really difficult. Back in April, God brought 2 very special angels home to him.....which is great for Heaven, but not so much for us down here on Earth.
One, my wonderful, ONE-OF-A-KIND, perfect Dandy. He means the absolute world to me and I miss him so much! I had a heck of a time with him throughout my whole life! He kept me when I was 6 weeks old until....well, he never really stopped! I sure do wish he was still here so I could go see him whenever I wanted to. But I know he's here with me and the rest of the family all the time and watching out for us!
I love you Dandy so so much!!!
This was on Dandy's 80th birthday. The family all met at California Dreaming in Greenville.

This was us during Christmas time in 2008.

This is us at mine and Danny's wedding rehearsal (Luau style) in June 2010! Isn't he handsome!

The other angel that Heaven has gained this year is my cousin, Jeff Tilley. God came for him just 2 weeks after Dandy. I tell ya, when it rains, IT POURS!  He reminds me so much of my little brother, Jackson, tall and slender. Mominy says that Thanksgiving is Jeff's favorite holiday! (Probably because of Mominy and Dandy's awesome food and fellowship!) I actually had a dream about Jeff about a month or two ago. It was my wedding day and I was in my white dress. We were getting married at the Citadel and when I walked up, there was a big crowd mingling. The only people I knew was one side of my mom's family (Jeff, his sister and her husband, and all of their kids). I saw Jeff and had to take a double look. I knew something was wrong, I couldn't understand why he was there. Obviously, in the dream, he hadn't been taken from us yet. It was all very strange. We miss and love you very much Jeff! I know you and Dandy are really enjoying each other up there!
This was (most) of the family last year at Christmas 2010. Who would have known this was our last Christmas was both of them? Jeff is the tall one to the far left.

But thankfully, there IS a Heaven! And thankfully we DO believe! So that gives us a little hope and peace knowing where they are and that we WILL see them again one day soon!

Consistant Dreams and Diamond Rings

So I had my FORTH dream last night that we were having a little boy! Four!! That's gotta mean something! Each dream gets better and better. The little boy is a little older each time, but still a baby, and cuter everytime too! So I woke up, and Danny came in from work this morning and told him about it. Then he went to sleep and dreamed of a boy too! haha

He called me at work and said, "We're having a boy, no need to do an ultrasound!" When we do have the ultrasound, I probably won't believe it if it is a girl! I'm now so certain that we'll be seeing blue.  No doubt.

In other news......the diamond rings I'm referring to......

ABBY ELIZABETH FUNDERBURK and JONATHON WILLIAMS are ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YAY!!!!!!! So exciting!!

She was doing an ad for me for the Options Magazine and I asked her to email it to me, she did, I opened it, and to my surprise, found this....

I was like, "IS THIS A JOKE?!"

Oh no, no joke, YAY!!!!
Go Pudge!!

Life's Update

Week 16 and going strong! I missed posting about week 15...so last week, Baby G was the size of...
...a Naval Orange.
"Continuing the march towards normal proportions, baby's legs now out measure the arms. And, finally, all four limbs have functional joints. Your baby is squirming and wiggling like crazy down in the womb, though you probably still can't feel the movements."
                                                                                                  -The Bump

Thursday, I came "down with the sickness." Just a regular cold (cough, runny nose, sneezing, etc.) BUT....the terrible part was...every time I coughed (which was a lot), I gaged! Ugh!! Once again, so very thankful for NO morning sickness! I am so sorry for those of you out there that had to go through that. Aw man. But, all better now.
So the baby is moving, I hear, but no distinct kicks or punches yet! There is definitely something going on down there though. I can feel something

This week is 16 and Baby G is now the size of...
...an AVOCADO.
"Watch what you say... tiny bones forming in baby's ears mean the little one can now pick up your voice. Eyebrows, lashes and hair are starting to fill in, and taste buds are forming. And, if you're interested, an ultrasound might be able to determine gender."
                                                                                          -The Bump

So getting to the last sentence of that "Bump" statement....THE GENDER!!!!
We found out just a day or so ago that 2 weeks from TODAY we will get to have an ultrasound to find out what Baby G is!! Yay! The moment we've been waiting for!
Will it be PINK or BLUE?
Barbie's or Firetrucks?
Pageants or Bootcamp??
We'll know SOON!

And as I have said earlier, we won't find out during the ultrasound. We will inform the ultrasound tech not to spill the beans, we'll find out that night at the Gender Reveal party! Who's pumped!?? We are!

So right now, my life consists of work, getting ready for Christmas (at work), baseball tournaments on my days off, searching for a house with 3 bedrooms, trying to stay semi-excited about the gender, trying to please everyone around me, keeping the house descent, oh and trying to sleep. I'm tired, stressed out, and need a break. I don't see that coming anytime in the near future. Oh well.
Thanksgiving is SOON approaching!
